    1. Thanks for your encouragement. We are trying to add more information so that the citizens of Columbus may be well-informed. Please plan on being at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 24.

      1. Hi, my name is Kei’yona Jordon and I am a news reporter with WTVM and I am covering a story on the non-discrimination ordinance that was recently tabled. Could I interview you today before one?

    1. The Mayor told us yesterday that the first reading of the ordinance will be on Tuesday, August 24. We need to pack the place out for that hearing, and be ready to voice our opposition.

      1. It’s time to show up Christians. this Ordinance is poison. They say it won’t effect Church’s, who is the Church we are. We are the Church at work in Small Business, so it does effect the Church. I love everyone the same, both genders God Created enough said. PLEASE SHOW UP COLUMBUS!!!!!!

  1. MyColumbusVoice received this comment from Councilperson Charmaine Crabb today. It is with her permission that we post this comment of encouragement.

I would like to STRONGLY encourage you and as many others that believe the way you do about this ordinance to attend the next City Council meeting on

    August 24 at 5:30
    Council Chambers
Citizens Service Center on Macon Rd

We will be having the first reading of this ordinance and individuals can come to the podium and express their views to council. I have found that having a large crowd gets councilors attention even more than letters, emails, texts or phone calls. When a citizen makes an effort to go to council knowing they may be there for several hours to be heard shows the passion of their convictions. I hope to see the room, hallway and downstairs atrium filled with believers of Jesus Christ and opponents to this ordinance.
Also, you can call the Clerk of Council, Sandra Davis 706-653-4013 and ask to be put on Public Agenda to speak about this too.

    Take care,
    Charmaine Crabb

  3. I could not access the emails through this site! They were blocked! I wrote a personal email from my computer and I received a message, “ you have been denied access”! We phoned and could not get anyone to answe ; but, left voice messages!

    1. Ms. Jones, I do apologize for any difficulty in the e-mail system. Thank you for commenting here. If you would like to talk to someone, I will be glad to speak with you. My office # is 706.568.7357. (Dr. Marty O. Wynn)

    1. Ms. Lamb, thank you for your interest and engagement in this issue. The most current update to the NDO is the one that is currently on this site. On the Home page, click the red “Updated Ordinance” button. You will be able to verify that it is the latest version by looking on page 4. There should be red-lettering concerning the addition of the phrase “15 employees.”

Let us know if you have further questions. Again, we thank you.

  4. The Ledger Enquirer just posted your website in their article on the Council’s tabling the NDO for now! Will you consider adding a link to the Gospel presentation because traffic may be increasing! How wonderful if God used this site to call lost souls to Him!

  5. Special local announcement for Columbus, GA readers.. go ahead and get your absentee ballots for the November referendum on the $400,000,000.00 SPLOST tax. Don’t be lulled by lack of media discussion into letting November slip up on you. Your “NO” vote matters!

  6. I just saw this:
